Two peacocks, lush foliage, and a yellow that hits like noon in July. This original 12x16 acrylic on canvas is bold, loose, and alive — painted in a neo-expressionist style with thick black outlines, deep teals and blues, vivid greens, and splashes of pink and crimson. These birds showed up in my backyard out of what I can only describe as a magic forest, and I painted them exactly like that — like they belonged there and knew it.
